A recipe from Vanilla chocolate cake pops (pop cakes) to make without a mold, what do you think? We can't resist its round shape and its very soft heart!
I specify indeed "without mold" because there are two ways to make these cake pops. I have always preferred the version without a mold for two reasons: it is a purchase that is not useful and it is better to make it without a mold since we create the balls ourselves, which are therefore well rounded, and fondant thanks to the addition of a binder (fresh cheese, mascarpone, spread, etc.)
How to make these chocolate vanilla cake pops?
For this cake pop recipe, I chose to make a creamy vanilla heart made up of a vanilla cake cooked and crumbled then mixed with mascarpone .

You will then need to melt some dark chocolate pastry (or other chocolate) and dip the balls in to cover them. I prick them before with sticks and then dry them.
How to hold the cake pops?
Different solutions are possible. The simplest ? Take a tall and wide glass, pour sand or small balls into it, then place the cake pops in it. Another option, if you have a block of polystyrene or floral green foam, you just have to stick them in (having covered the blocks with a pretty fabric for example).
In addition there is another solution: a transparent support to line up the cake pops, very practical for drying them after icing and very elegant to serve them (I put the link to my material under the recipe).
If you like cake pops, you will definitely like this recipe too: Nutella cake pops.

- 2 eggs
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 110 g soft butter, melted
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 cc baking powder
- 1 cc natural vanilla extract
- 200 g mascarpone
- 300 g dark chocolate pastry
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° traditional heat.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the melted butter, mix.
- Rain in the flour and baking powder while continuing to mix. Finally add the liquid vanilla extract.
- Pour the dough into a buttered 20cm mold. Bake for 28 minutes. Check for doneness with the tip of a knife. Let cool on rack.
- Unmold the cake thus obtained and put it in a blender to reduce it to crumbs. Add the mascarpone and knead everything until a homogeneous texture is obtained.
- Then form small balls with your hands, place them on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer for 10 minutes so that the balls are quite firm.
- In a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate pastry. Take a lollipop stick and dip it 1 cm in the chocolate icing, then push a ball of cake pop in about 1,5 cm.
- Then completely dip the cake pop in the icing, tap well on the rim while turning the stick so that the excess falls.
- Then it's time to decorate! Sprinkle with sprinkles or confetti of any color, as you wish. Then prick the stick on the support for drying.

Yum ^^

I discovered your blog and I find it deliciously illustrated, I love it! Bravo.
I really like cooking easy or even complicated things and I found them very cute so I cooked them and they are delicious and very pretty I love them!!
So beautiful!! Tomorrow I try
A quick question: isn't it more practical to use a cake pop mold directly? I see that you don't use one, and so you add mascarpone! So I would like your expert opinion!!
merciiii
Hello Nael, to answer you, in my opinion a cake pop mold (silicone type that you put directly in the oven) complicates the work and does not give the same taste result! With these molds, you get cake balls with a dry interior (only cake in fact, without cream or mascarpone) and not regular on the sides (because of the edges of the mold). So I prefer to make my cake pops the "original" way, that is to say without a specific mold... See you soon
What is the size of your mold for the vanilla cake?
This is a round mold of 20cm diameter. See you soon

I would be happy if you continue to send me your letter because at least you present us with pastries that are out of the ordinary. Bravo. I love your site. Continue to delight us for a long time to come.
A big thank you for this message Maryse! See you soon
Hello Lilie. I am glad that you took the time to answer me. Thank you very much. I will keep you informed as soon as I have made a cake. I have a question for you; do you have any simpler recipes, suitable for an everyday dessert because I live alone and it is not always easy to make a pastry as elaborate as yours for a simple meal, but I hope it is as good. Thank you in advance and see you soon.

Hello these for how many pop cake your recipe?
Hello Maurane, it is specified in the recipe: 20 cake pops. See you soon :)
Very good recipe :) I had to add a little more chocolate for the coating because I didn't have enough... In my opinion, I was too generous with the first Cakepops :)
Thank you Analyse for your feedback! You will have a hand for the next ones :) See you soon
Good evening if I prepare them the day before for the next day I suppose I reserve them in the fridge but for tasting on D-day I take them out of the fridge how long before please? Thank you
Hello Cam, you can take out the cake pops 20 minutes before tasting so that the flavor is present. See you soon ;)
