A fruity and very refreshing recipe: the Homemade raspberry ice cream ! Only 3 ingredients needed to prepare this ice cream, in a few minutes with an ice cream maker. So are you ready ?
An ideal ice cream recipe to make when the temperature rises: it's quick and so easy... To eat: in a cone like at the ice cream parlor or in a small ramekin, it's as you prefer!
What will you like with this raspberry ice cream recipe
Few ingredients : only 3 ingredients are needed to prepare it! Whole milk yogurt (important for texture), raspberries and sugar.
Flavor : raspberries bring a nice fruity flavor to the ice cream. Their taste goes perfectly with that of the yogurt. The sugar is there to create a balance with the taste of the raspberries.
Texture : using an ice cream maker or ice cream turbine allows you to have a nice creamy ice cream. Its texture is perfect when it comes out of the machine: very melting.
Difficulty level : it's very easy. I would even say that it's the ice cream maker/ice cream machine that does (almost) all the work. If you're not yet equipped, I'll give you the link to the equipment I recommend under the recipe.
How to prepare this homemade raspberry ice cream?
We start with mix the raspberries (in a robot or blender) and pass them through a Chinese to remove their seeds. Part of the powdered sugar is added to it and then set aside for the rest.
In a bowl, mix the whole milk yogurt and the rest of the powdered sugar. Then, we pour this mixture into our ice machine (ice cream maker or ice cream maker). The cooling begins.

When the ice cream is almost set, when its texture is thickened, the raspberry sauce and a few pieces of raspberries. We continue cooling in the machine until we obtain a consistency of creamy ice cream.
At this point you can taste directly or place it in the freezer to firm it up even more. I advise you not to leave it too long in the freezer because ice crystals could change the texture.
Tips for making this recipe a success
Choose a yogurt with whole milk : the amount of fat inside the yogurt allows for a nice ice cream texture.
If you choose frozen raspberries, be sure to thaw them before using and pat them dry. This prevents them from adding too much water to the mixture, which can cause crystals. I used fresh raspberries for this homemade ice cream.
On the equipment side, I use for my ice cream recipes this Lagrange ice cream maker or this Magimix ice cream maker. I presented you the turbine in test in this article on the blog.

Hello, instead of fjord yogurt, can we put cottage cheese?
Good night!
Hello, you need a full fat yogurt (whole yogurt) but a high fat cottage cheese can work I think.
